2ND AMENDMENT
I am committed to upholding our Right to Keep & Bear Arms protected by our Constitution. This encompasses not just firearms, ammunition, and accessories, but also ensuring the privacy of firearms purchases. I believe in the importance of educating our children about firearms to counter government narratives that limit their understanding. It’s crucial for a free society, to dispel misconceptions linking firearms to violence caused primarily by evil and ignorance, alongside societal issues and psychiatric medications. Responsible gun ownership is the best defense against threats, ensuring safety and upholding our rights.
The Second Amendment isn’t just about hunting or sports—it’s about our fundamental right to bear arms for self-defense, family protection, and national defense. I’ll strongly oppose any encroachments on our Second Amendment rights, and push to remove firearm type restrictions and abolish “gun-free” zones.
PROPERTY RIGHTS & FREE MARKET
PROPERTY TAXES
Property ownership is fundamental to our inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet escalating taxes have become an overwhelming burden for Wyoming residents. I fully support the People’s Initiative to Limit Property Taxes and advocate for legislation to return taxes to their original acquisition value or eliminate them entirely. We can fund vital services like public schools through responsible measures such as cutting unnecessary spending, utilizing mineral royalties, sales taxes, usage fees and conducting regular budget audits. While there has been some temporary progress in addressing property taxes in the legislature, there is still much work to be done. We must permanently reduce the overwhelming tax burden and sever the connection between government growth and property values. Taxing citizens on unrealized capital gains is wrong. We need reform that applies to all categories of property taxpayers, including residential, commercial, mining, and agricultural. Click HERE for a plan for BOLD Reform
ABORTION IS NOT HEALTH CARE
I am unwavering in my belief that life begins at conception and ends at natural death and I stand firmly behind legislation that upholds the sanctity of life. Abortion is not health care. We should streamline the adoption process to help the many couples seeking to provide loving homes. Society must support expecting mothers with private assistance options and instill honor and personal responsibility in our sons as men and fathers. It’s our collective responsibility to shift the narrative and perception of abortion. Protecting the unborn should be a top priority, commitment, and duty.
I support the WYO GOP Republican Platform’s first principle 100% “All individuals are endowed by their Creator from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death with the right to Life, Liberty, Property, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The only purpose of government is to protect these rights for all.”
HEALTH FREEDOM
Health freedom is a fundamental right that empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their own health and well-being. It encompasses the ability to choose alternative healthcare options, access holistic treatments, and maintain personal autonomy over medical decisions. As a proponent of health freedom, I believe in advocating for policies that respect individual choices, promote transparency in healthcare practices, and safeguard the rights of patients to pursue the healthcare options that align with their beliefs and values. Everyone deserves the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions without undue interference or coercion, and I am committed to defending and preserving this essential aspect of personal liberty. “No medical procedure, modality, or treatment should ever be mandated under any circumstances.” Republican Party Platform #10. May we never experience the egregious violation of our rights that occurred during COVID-19 ever again!
WYOMING ENERGY
Wyoming’s energy resources are vital to our nation’s stability. Our coal reserves, comprising a third of the US total, generate substantial revenue and support numerous jobs statewide. With 90% of our energy being exported, we must capitalize on these resources to achieve full fiscal independence from the federal government. It’s time for Wyoming to lead in decision-making and reap the rewards of our oil, gas, and coal assets, which are among the most reliable and economically efficient energy sources globally.
Unfortunately, some politicians, including our own Governor, are diverting attention and resources towards impractical “carbon-capture” projects driven by special interests and federal incentives. This misguided focus not only jeopardizes Wyoming’s energy sector but also aligns with the flawed “green new deal” agenda, serving to collect more federal tax dollars instead of protecting our industries.
Instead of compromising our interests, we must vigorously defend our energy sectors, advocate for increased leases, production, and a fair restructuring of mineral royalties. The resilience of coal, oil, and gas during crises nationwide underscores their importance in sustaining our nation. I reject the notion of carbon as an enemy and refuse to entertain baseless environmental hoaxes. I am committed to safeguarding Wyoming’s energy industry without succumbing to fictitious narratives, designed solely to extract more taxes from us.
EDUCATION
Over the years, with 6 children of my own, I’ve homeschooled, opted to use a private schooling and also used public schooling. They all have their place. I believe in an educational approach that empowers parents to make the best decisions for their children. I support funding for public schools that align with Wyoming’s traditional values. However, I oppose funding for leftist social engineering programs in education and higher education institutions that promote ideological agendas over genuine learning. We have exceptional teachers in Wyoming who uphold traditional values but many of them may feel pressured to teach ideologies that don’t align with their beliefs. Let’s leave the woke ideology out of education and stick to the basics of learning.
College tuition rates are soaring, leading to questions about subsidizing them with taxpayer dollars. I challenge the notion that success only comes through a college degree and advocate for valuing trade schools and apprenticeships equally. Blue-collar workers often earn more than their college-educated counterparts, and these jobs hold significant value. By changing the narrative around higher education and defunding institutions that prioritize ideology over education, we can align with economic principles and promote meaningful career pathways.
I am deeply concerned about the infiltration of the liberal agenda into our public school systems. Questionable reading materials and inappropriate content are alarming. The push for certain agendas like LGBTQ+ acceptance in schools and in our libraries is unacceptable. I fear that continued federal funding could mandate these topics in curricula, undermining our children’s morals and traditional values. This trend must stop, and if elected, I am committed to fiercely advocating for our children’s traditional education values and future.
PUBLIC LANDS
AGRICULTURE & RANCHING
I am committed to standing up for Wyoming’s farming and ranching community, recognizing their crucial contribution to our state’s economy and cultural identity. Recent property tax proposals fall short in safeguarding our private agricultural lands. While these proposals promise reduced property taxes, they primarily benefit residential properties and overlook the tax burden on agricultural lands. Some even suggest increasing sales tax, which would further strain our farmers and ranchers. To truly support our agricultural sector, we need comprehensive property tax reform covering all Wyoming lands, along with budget cuts to prevent additional tax burdens.
Furthermore, we must address land use challenges, such as preventing foreign entities from buying Wyoming lands and discontinuing federal land use programs in our state. These efforts will ensure a thriving agricultural industry and preserve our lands for future generations, empowering farmers and ranchers the freedom to cultivate, produce, and market their goods without facing burdensome regulations.
